ABOUT:
Hatred is Adamson's clan, or, as he prefers to speak of it, his "experiment". When people speak of the great old-time clans, Hatred is almost universally mentioned in the same breath as 1337 sn4x0rs, Elite Ones, CGC, or Sparkle Motion. It was formed in the summer of 2003, after Adamson departed from the sn4x0rs, and eventually obtained a powerful core of old-time powergamers, including LadyVamp, Conn, Kamara, and Craig Brooks. But what Hatred was best remembered for was its dominance in clan warfare.

Fueled by bugmeat and mall profits, Adamson created a war machine that relentlessly pounded anyone with a large cache of Goodie Bags, at a time when clan warfare was one of the premier aspects of the game. Shady and short-lived alliances were made and broken; Adamson always worked towards his clan's self-interest. For instance, Hatred and [AzN] were historically mortal enemies of each other; In September of 2003, after [AzN] was deleted, Adamson announced that, since it now had no real nemeses, Hatred would act as a mercenary clan, attacking anyone by request for a fee. It is unknown how lucrative this policy was.

TheBub had some amusing reminiscences of the clan: "Adamson had a no-mercy policy in clan warfare after abusing bugs for billions of stash meat. He was noted once for making a purchasing mistake in his war room by adding a zero to a force purchase, thereby accidentally lowering the stash meat. Adamson also had a kind and loving side. TheBub would sometimes rant in chat and abuse its privileges before chat mods existed. As informal punishment, Adamson, knowing [AzN]'s defenses, would clear them out to TheBub's chagrin, which assisted in his behavior improvements."

For its first few months, Hatred was a solo outfit, a one-man warfare pulverizer. It was only after LadyVamp (the second member) convinced Adamson to take on additional members that the ranks began to swell to perhaps ten members, rarely more. Any potential member had to be personally vouched for by another member; by this mechanism, Adamson kept his ship airtight, and his clan coffers safe. Meanwhile, he and the sn4x0rs traded blows on the Goodie Bag leaderboards; the sn4x0rs were able to best him only twice, so far as anyone could remember, and one of them occurred in the midst of the burgeoning Warclan controversy. Hatred had no competition.

Hatred as a clan, and particularly Adamson, were notorious abusers of meat bugs, clan stash abuse, and mass hoarding of Sober Pills (many of which he learned from other players, including Pimonkey, who was a high school friend of his, and TheBub). Adamson personally funded much of his clanmates' stat abuse, to maintain Hatred's leaderboard status. He recalls buying his clan vast numbers of Key Lime Pies before they became public, the first of these items to be seen in the Kingdom. Yet despite all this, Adamson publicly admitted to any cheating he did, and agreed with any calls for rollbacks, resets, and reprimands for offending players, often to his own personal detriment.

Hatred's decline and fall is a bizarre tale, of almost soap-operatic proportions. Adamson brought Lillath, his old girlfriend, to the game. Rumors spread about Adamson and LadyVamp, though nothing ultimately transpired between the two; when their friendship soured, Adamson booted many of Hatred's members and pruned down the clan to only a few members, including the newly invited Phoenix, Cyrene Black, and Mick. Soon he began liaising with Cyrene Black, and then Phoenix, who was Giboc's girlfriend at the time.

Meanwhile, the disenfranchised members of Hatred banded together and formed the clan Conquest. (Early 2004? definitely before June) LadyVamp and Kamara became the main administrators of the clan, and soon found themselves in love. Conquest hung on with six or eight members for well over a year, and some of its members have even ascended; Hatred's membership soon trailed off to two or three, and now exists only with Adamson himself in the clan.
MAJOR MEMBERS:
*Adamson (#3101) - Adamson was, at one point, probably one of the most well-known and influential players in the Kingdom. As leader of his own, well-funded (through copious amounts of bugmeat) mercenary clan army, as leaderboard-chasing powergamer (who accepted public chastisement for his abuses, and supported rollbacks and the Reset), as a market hawk who, through much of 2003 and early 2004, bought and sold his way to fantastic wealth in the shady and exclusive Mr. Accessory and rares markets, and as a name firmly etched onto the front page of the game, most everyone knew and feared Adamson. His personal troubles, though, seem to have got the better of him - particularly his in-game playboy tendencies - and he has been scarce in 2005. Adamson is possessed of a Bigger Bugfinder Blade; it is not known how he did it, but it is known that it was not given to him.

*LadyVamp (#2101) - LadyVamp was once an extraordinarily well-known player, a top-shelf powergamer (who had reached level 40 and beyond early in 2004) and a spicy regular on the forums. Trog Dor notes of her, "LadyVamp's store was one of the most famous for a long time, selling White Canadians for 99k. She kept a list of those who bought 'em. Naturally, only the uber-rich could afford to blow 99,999 meat simply to get their name on a list (and get a crappy drink as well) so it was kind of a Who's Who. Thus the sell-overpriced-goods-to-get-on-a-list meme was started by her but imitated by countless others."

She was also once a member of [AzN], though after falling victim to one of the clan's numerous security holes (she was booted by Spikey when his multi was let in), she and Adamson returned to Hatred. When Hatred began to topple, she and Kamara co-founded Conquest, and eventually faded from the game. She has dropped by now and then in 2005, mostly to keep in touch socially.

*Kamara (#2062) - An old-time leaderboard powergamer who long left the game and has returned to face the Sorceress again. Kamara was a co-founder of Conquest after Hatred's fall. After checking back in on the game in mid-2005, he found that Ascension was nearly completed; once it was finally implemented, he was one of very few old-timers who left behind their old stats and ascended hardcore.

*Little Pea (#4731) - A long past member of Hatred, Little Pea was a well-known chat regular and occasional forum poster.

*Lillath (#3277) - Adamson's ex-girlfriend; once a noted Top-25 powergamer.

*Phoenix (#4403) - Once a saucy KoL chat regular and top-class flamer, Phoenix was given the custom item Exclusive Ultra-Rare Item by Jick in 2003.

*Mick (#4590) - A legendary powergamer and KoL socialite. Mick, for whom the Mick's IcyVapoHotness Rub is named, lodged herself firmly in the top 25 power leaderboards (and the login page) for nearly all of 2004 and much of 2005, despite going inactive for months at a time. Economically, she got her start as a farmer for Adamson, using her turns searching for items in exchange for liquid meat loans. In time, she became fantastically wealthy in the months before Black Sunday (her store, Mickalicious Mart, was a notorious short-seller on the Hell Ramen market), and maintained a net worth in the billions for months after. She bought a Steaming Evil from BoozerBear (see Mahi), and may have been the first player other than Boozer to ever own one. On December 24, 2004, Mick was given the custom item Fuzzy Bracelets. She has also done time in Sparkle Motion and 1337 sn4x0rs; for most of the second half of 2004, though, she was the only other member of Hatred besides Adamson, and the two sat perched high on the clan power leaderboards until the 5-member requirement was instituted.

*Craig Brooks (#4875)/Craig Brooks1 (#4901) - Another powergaming legend, who had made the Login page early in 2004. Craig Brooks was hacked and deleted by CrazyChris (#28861) on July 21, 2004. He continued on as his multi, and was given many sober pills by other powergamers who felt bad for him; Craig Brooks1 briefly made it to the bottom of the Top 25 powerboard itself.

*Cyrene Black (#7121) - Member of the clan after the Conquest schism. Cyrene was a noted chat regular and forum visiter early in 2004, and left the game for some time. When she returned early in 2005, she was remembered and welcomed back with several forum threads. Cyrene was also a member of Sparkle Motion and 1337 sn4x0rs.

*Blade (#496) - see [AzN].

*Shadowsexile (#3514) - Long ago a powergamer.

*Crawley (#96) - see Cool Guy Crew.

*Bannockburn (#3163) - Bannockburn was an old powergamer whose blunt manner and straightforward criticism of some game mechanics changes earned him both friends and enemies. His outspokenness earned him a flame from Mr. Skullhead in the Ring long ago. His account is still extant.

*BittyBaby (#54827) - Another former romantic interest of Adamson's. More information forthcoming.

*The Fourth Horseman (#3397) - longtime member of Conquest.

*LargoL337 (#3702) - longtime member of Conquest.

*Eternity (#1640) - Longtime member of Conquest. Deleted for inactivity in May 2005.
