About Clan Histories:

The KoL clan histories are an attempt to fill in a perceived gap in the semi-official History of Loathing. While the History of Loathing is largely an official history, taken mainly from Jick`s documents and concentrating on gameplay and programming changes, the Clan Histories, it is hoped, will serve to illuminate some of the social history of the game. In other words, this is history based around institutions and people, whose contributions to the game may not be apparent in the official history.

Note: The Clan Histories stopped updating as of August 2005. No effort has been made to keep them current or make them any more complete than they were at that time; several important entries were never finished. Although Chubbles (#79514) no longer plays, he is willing to help any young scholar interested in furthering the project of recording game history. Please k-mail him and/or forum pm him and wait patiently for a reply (he does not log in often) if you are in earnest about recording more recent KOL history or helping with the incomplete entries.
